Silco only needed to focus on organizing things, but Luo Huan had much more to consider.
“Wow! Luo Huan, you’re so cool! What was that just now!”
The blue demon fire danced on the dining table, startling Vi, Ori, and the others into exclamations.
Luo Huan’s mouth never stopped moving as she kept eating.
Yes, after assigning the tasks to Silco, she had slipped to the backyard to eat and show off in front of the five kids.
After all, magic power didn’t just appear out of nowhere; it was transformed from the various forms of energy within her body.
She had first studied it herself, and then demonstrated it in front of Silco and the others.
The fact that her magic power wasn’t depleted already showed how high her physical constitution and magic power limit were.
“So cool!”
Mylo and Claggor, just like Vi, were deeply fascinated by that human-shaped blue flame.
It was way cooler than any of their gear toys.
“How did you do that?”
Ekko was also mesmerized by the dancing flame, his entire mind drawn into it.
“Sis Huan, can we learn that?”
He couldn’t help but speak up.
At once, the other four looked over with hopeful eyes.
“Learn? I won’t teach you, and this thing completely depends on talent. At least for now, I have no way of teaching you.”
Luo Huan heard them and looked at their hopeful little eyes, but she rejected them coldly.
After all, she had promised Corin Reveck that he’d be able to perceive magic power, and that hadn’t come true yet.
Let alone teaching someone else how to use magic.
She wanted to teach herself!
The five kids looked downcast after hearing that, but none of them said a word.
As children of Zaun, they were tough!
“But, when we win against Piltover and rise to power, I’ll bring out magical technology that even ordinary people can use.”
“By then, you all must study hard, okay? I know it—you’re all very talented.”
Luo Huan, taller than all of them, reached out and patted the five kids on their heads as she spoke.
After all, she really did have such tech—Hextech, though it came with a few minor risks.
She just had to be careful then.
‘What a pity. If Powder had more time to grow, maybe our fight against Piltover would be much easier.’
That thought crossed Luo Huan’s mind as she patted Powder’s head.
Among the five, the most gifted was undeniably Powder, the youngest and most mentally immature.
Never mind the fact that she had, without any guidance or systematic study, figured out how to weaponize Hextech crystals just by reading Jayce’s book.
Just the fact that she developed a Gatling gun while everyone else only had single-shot guns was outrageous.
She was a natural-born war science prodigy.
It was just a shame that there wasn’t enough time now.
“Sis, will we win?”
Powder asked timidly.
“We’ll definitely win.”
Luo Huan put down her completely empty bowl and answered seriously.
“Alright, no more talking. I’m going to bed now.”
With that, Luo Huan got up and left, leaving the five kids exchanging glances.
No more talking. After a day of work, she was treating herself first~
...
“This stuff really is scary.”
Vander shook his hand and looked at Benzo, who was lying weakly on the ground, as he spoke.
Benzo lay on the ground completely drained, but his gaze remained clear. Just a bit of purple drool leaked from the corner of his mouth.
“This stuff hits hard.”
He stammered slightly as he spoke.
“Yeah, this amount is okay.”
Corin Reveck pulled down Benzo’s lower eyelid and pressed on his chest before replying.
He also recorded something in his notebook.
“Too bad there’s not much time. For now, I can only confirm that this amount won’t kill someone completely.”
Corin Reveck sounded a little regretful.
This was the first time he had such abundant experimental material.
Almost every Zaunite who was dying from the poisonous gas had agreed to try after hearing Silco’s request.
After several failed cases, some actually survived, and some even healed their lungs temporarily thanks to the short-term drug effect.
Then they kept adjusting the Shimmer dosage, and eventually, people could ingest it and only end up exhausted once the effect wore off.
At least temporarily, it worked like that.
Then Silco nodded and asked,
“Dr. Corin, can more of this Shimmer be synthesized?”
As the leader, he had watched the entire effect of Shimmer, and now he was overwhelmed with shock.
Was this stuff really that powerful?
Just one small bottle and he could already spar with Vander—if he could take in more, wouldn’t he practically take off?
But he found that humans had limits.
Even someone physically strong like Benzo would collapse onto the ground completely drained after just one small bottle.
“No choice. That’s all the medicine I’ve been able to produce.”
Corin Reveck wanted more too, but he shook his head helplessly.
The ones in the lab were meant to sustain his daughter’s life and couldn’t be used.
“Then this stuff can be diluted, right?”
Silco didn’t want everyone lying on the ground waiting to die before they even finished charging in tomorrow.
Corin Reveck nodded.
“Then dilute a portion for pre-battle use.”
After seeing the effects, Silco already knew how he would use it.
“But Little Stan must not take this.”
Silco spoke up.
He wasn’t sure whether it would affect Luo Huan’s powers, but he was very clear that right now, Luo Huan was the spiritual pillar of all of Zaun.
She couldn’t drink this stuff and then start acting strangely.
If that happened, morale would plummet.
...
The next afternoon.
“What is that?”
In front of the Fogen Tavern, the brothers and sisters of Zaun who had rested for a day gathered again at Silco’s call.
They all looked up.
There floated a person.
A person clad in pure white.
Didn’t they look just like that kid from yesterday?
“Brothers and sisters of Zaun!”
Hovering in midair with Reverse Life Triple activated, Luo Huan used magic power to transmit her voice into everyone’s ears.
“I am Luo Huan.”
“Yesterday, my parents fell on that bridge.”
“And also yesterday, I said we would charge the bridge again.”
Luo Huan spoke calmly, her eyes looking directly into everyone’s.
“I am not hysterically mad from grief.”
“I have this power that I’ve just awakened.”
Blue demon fire blazed on Luo Huan’s body.
“We have Shimmer that can push us beyond the limits of life!”
She casually shook a bottle of Shimmer in her hand, the purple liquid dancing within the demon fire.
“More importantly, I still have all of you, the uncles and aunties of Zaun!”
Luo Huan looked at the crowd slightly tilting their heads up at her.
“Everyone, are you willing to fight once more for revenge?”
“Everyone, are you willing to fight once more for our future?”
“Everyone, are you willing to fight once more for the glory of Zaun?”
Luo Huan raised her right hand high.
The demon fire on her body surged.
The blue light flared behind her, shining on the face of every Zaunite.
“Willing!”
Silco was the first to raise his right hand and shout loudly.
Next, Vander, Sevika, and the others raised their hands as well.
Soon, everyone present shouted out loud.
“Good! I will not hoard the glory of Zaun alone! This battle—we will win!”
Luo Huan clenched her right hand and shouted once again.
“Victory!”
Everyone followed, shouting in unison.
“Alright, according to plan—move out!”
Silco patted Vander, who had also raised his hand.
