Chapter 51

"Isn't there a mirror right there?" Felyn pointed at the full-length mirror behind Viloti.

"Oh, I didn't see it just now."

Viloti blinked, covering her chest with both hands, visibly embarrassed.

Would you have come in if I hadn't said that?

Even though it was a swimsuit, it didn’t reveal that much—everything that needed to be covered was well-covered.

That was why Viloti agreed to wear it. She wouldn’t dare try on those bold styles in front of Felyn no matter what.

"Does it look good?"

"It looks great. Really suits you."

The atmosphere was a little awkward. Felyn could hear the sound of the girl’s heartbeat.

What was he supposed to say right now?

The girl in front of him was clearly trying to maintain a cold, emotionless expression, but her face, ears, and neck had already turned pink from embarrassment. The contrast was just too cute.

Especially the way she covered her chest with her right hand, even though she wasn't really exposing anything, and how she bit her lip and looked up at him with those glistening amber eyes.

Viloti's figure wasn't as exaggerated as Adelina's, but a bit fuller than Daiyi's—just right, really.

"Uh, I’ll head out now. That outfit really looks good on you—you look like a princess in it."

Felyn made a hasty escape, the tiny space inside filled with the scent of hormones.

He stepped outside, breathing in the fresh air, trying to calm himself down.

"That swimsuit your girlfriend picked just now is one of our bestsellers!" said a shop assistant who appeared beside him at just the right moment.

"Really? To be honest, I think it suits her too," Felyn said, not denying it at all, slipping into the role of a shy boyfriend in an instant.

If a girl brought a guy who wasn’t her boyfriend to a lingerie store, who knows what this gossip-loving staff would think about Viloti?

"You two look great together. Just started dating?" The shop assistant had clearly noticed the shy expression on Viloti's face earlier.

"Yeah, yeah. We just started not too long ago."

Watching Felyn awkwardly scurry away, the shop assistant couldn’t help but smile indulgently.

Love really was wonderful.

She picked out a few of the store’s bolder styles and walked toward the fitting rooms.

If that customer saw his adorable girlfriend wearing these, wouldn’t that be a surprise?

Plus, most importantly, these were the most expensive sets in the store. If he got excited and bought them all, she'd hit her sales target easily!

"Excuse me, would you like to try these as well? Your boyfriend might like them," she said cheerily.

Viloti raised the lingerie the assistant had handed her.

This was real lingerie—not swimwear.

Lace, sheer fabric, sparkles.

Her face turned red.

She had overheard Felyn’s conversation outside.

To protect her reputation, Felyn had even thoughtfully claimed they were a couple.

"A couple..." Viloti murmured the word, her heartbeat accelerating on its own.

Maybe the shop assistant misunderstood, which was why she had given me these daring styles.

What now? Should I try them on?

Viloti looked at herself in the mirror, her cheeks growing hotter.

Maybe not.

She took off the swimsuit, but her gaze lingered on the lingerie.

Would Felyn like this version of me?

The thought made her want to bury herself in the ground, but...

Maybe... just try it on quietly by herself. Since she was already here anyway.

Felyn circled the store like a mule walking in circles around a millstone.

He was tied to this shop by Viloti’s invisible chain.

Clearly, he wasn’t cut out to be a scumbag—he couldn’t even get past the mental hurdle.

If Daiyi found out he went lingerie shopping with another girl while on the job, she would definitely kill him.

And the more you worry about something, the more likely it is to happen.

Felyn saw Daiyi stepping out of the store next door!

She looked around, not spotting Felyn.

Crap—she was headed this way!

“Viloti, are you dressed yet?”

Felyn rushed to the fitting room, watching Daiyi’s figure draw nearer through the window.

“Huh? I... I’m dressed.”

Felyn assumed she meant she'd finished trying on the one-piece swimsuit or something like that.

Good enough.

Just then, the store door was opened by the cheerful shop assistant.

“Welcome!”

At that moment, Felyn lifted the curtain and stepped inside.

“Sorry, Viloti, I just wanted to see how the swimsuit—”

Felyn froze.

The tiny space seemed to suddenly fill with something ambiguous in the air.

Viloti was covering her chest, her amber eyes still not understanding what had just happened.

She wore a skirt on her lower half, but had already put on the lace bra the assistant gave her.

Her smooth, pale back was completely exposed in front of Felyn’s eyes, throwing his thoughts into chaos.

If not for that single strap across her back, he would’ve thought she was wearing nothing.

At this moment, Viloti turned red from the tips of her ears to the soles of her feet within a few seconds—like she had been steamed in a bamboo basket.

Facing away from him, she clutched her breast tightly.

Even though he couldn’t see much, Felyn still caught a glimpse of lace trim and a portion of her snow-white skin.

That pale skin against the black lace made the contrast even more striking.

“Felyn, you pervert!”

“Wait, we didn’t even pick out that kind of outfit! The assistant gave it, didn’t she?!”

Complaint! I’m lodging a complaint! Who said she could do that without permission?

But Felyn couldn’t leave yet.

Daiyi might still be outside.

So here’s the question—what could he say now that wouldn’t make Viloti think he was a total pervert, while still justifying staying in the room?

Felyn couldn’t think of anything—short of claiming he’d been castrated, nothing else seemed to fit the bill.

“Felyn, why aren’t you leaving yet?”

Viloti’s voice had a trace of tears in it as she timidly looked back at him. Felyn sat there like someone who’d completely given up thinking.

Between career and morality, Felyn chose career.

Between a client and Viloti, Felyn chose the client.

“It’s just... seeing you dressed like that made my legs go weak.”

Viloti let out a tiny yelp at his words, her body tensing up. She didn’t dare turn around at all.

“I know it’s sudden, but... could you stay like that for a moment? My head's spinning after what I just saw. Let me sit here for a bit before going out.”

Made his head spin?

Viloti looked down at her breast, opened her mouth as if to say something, but nothing came out.

Her heart was a swirl of shock, embarrassment, frustration... and a flicker of happiness.

At that moment, in the cramped fitting room stood a girl crouched with her arms around her breast, and a boy sitting on the floor with his eyes shut tight.

“Take care! Come again soon!”

Felyn’s eyes shot open. He jumped up from the floor.

“Sorry, Viloti, I suddenly feel better—I’m heading out first!”

He stepped outside, only to realize the person who left just now wasn’t Daiyi.

It was a false alarm.

Felyn let out a long breath and sat on a bench in the store, waiting for Viloti to come out.

As he watched the crowd outside, a few thoughts suddenly hit him.

What if it had been Daiyi?

What if she came in and saw him with Viloti?

What if something like this happened again, and other clients saw?

Three minutes later, Viloti emerged from the fitting room, the blush still lingering on her face.

“Viloti, I’m really sorry about just now.”

She placed a hand over her chest and shook her head gently, her hair swaying with the motion.

She looked at her watch and saw it was already 8:30.

If she didn’t go back soon, her father would definitely scold her again.

Besides, just changing into that lingerie had drained all her courage and energy. She didn’t have the strength to continue shopping.

It’s fine—there’ll be other chances to spend time with Felyn.

Viloti tried to comfort herself with the thought, hugging the fuzzy caterpillar plush in her arms even tighter.

“Felyn, I’m heading back now.”

There was still a trace of shyness in her voice. As she turned, the hem of her skirt swayed gently.

In that moment she looked back at Felyn, her amber eyes seemed to hold a thousand words, but all of them turned into a single bashful smile.

The usually cold and aloof noble girl broke into a rare little jog, her pink hair fluttering lightly in the night breeze before disappearing into the bustling crowd.

The night wind had a bit of a chill.

Felyn smiled and waved to her. But once she was out of sight, the smile slowly faded from his face.

He looked at his reflection in the glass window by the road, watching it blur under the cherry blossom tree.

Felyn’s mind was in a mess.

A sudden gust of cold wind made him shiver.

“What the hell have you been doing lately?” he muttered to his reflection.

The man in the glass looked a bit unfamiliar—just like his chaotic thoughts.
