“Lady Adelina, I’ve liked you for so long!”
“Lady Adelina, please sign an autograph for me!”
“Aaaaaah! Lady Adelina’s hair just brushed my pinky finger!”
Student Council Office, St. Andros Academy.
Adelina sat at her seat, surrounded by student council members.
Even though their boss, Linda, was right there with them, none of them had the presence of mind to care about social etiquette anymore.
This was Lady Adelina, after all.
She was simply too perfect—whether it was her appearance or personality. The goddess Adelina treated everyone with kindness and grace.
Felyn Sorester.
To everyone else, this lucky guy was now standing beside Adelina, looking just like her personal secretary.
When Adelina had announced that Felyn would be her assistant during her time at St. Andros, the student council members had gone completely silent.
No way. How could this guy’s luck be this insane?
Not only was the once-unapproachable ice princess Viloti now actively getting close to him, even the newly transferred pure-hearted beauty Bernice seemed to have her eyes on him. And now, he’d even been chosen as the assistant to the divine Lady Adelina.
Your life is my dream.
After a brief exchange, Adelina began her work.
She had come here today to see what ideas and expectations St. Andros had for the upcoming school festival.
Since both academies would be co-hosting the event, they had to showcase their respective strengths and styles.
The student council, which had just been lively and bustling, suddenly fell into a hush.
This time, important figures from all walks of life would be attending, and no one could afford to let their guard down.
Adelina paused her pen. To her, the reason this school festival mattered wasn’t just about formality.
She would be graduating soon—this would be her last chance to be involved in such an event.
Her gaze unconsciously drifted to Felyn, who was reading through some documents nearby.
If it’s the last one, then I want to make memories together with him.
As night fell, the light from the office gently pushed back the darkness around them. To everyone, Adelina was like a flame burning bright in their hearts.
With her usual gentleness replaced by focused intensity, Adelina flew through the editing and reviewing of documents.
She had never failed before—not once—and it wasn’t just luck that got her here.
The stack of reviewed documents on the desk grew taller, and even Adelina’s wrist began to ache from the strain.
“Is your hand sore, Lady Adelina?”
She flicked her wrist, and Felyn immediately leaned in with concern.
So he had been paying attention to her all along.
“I’m alright. I’ve gotten used to it.”
“That won’t do, Lady Adelina.” Felyn scooted his stool closer and gently placed her hand on his leg.
“Eh? Felyn, this is…”
Their movements were hidden beneath the desk, and everyone around them was too absorbed in their work to notice.
“It won’t do if Lady Adelina isn’t feeling well. Everyone’s counting on you, after all.”
His warm hands, brimming with youthful heat, lightly touched her cool wrist.
Just feeling his warmth was enough to ease the aching in her joints.
“Lady Adelina is truly amazing. So many documents, yet you finished them all so quickly.” Felyn spoke softly into her ear while massaging her wrist.
Adelina didn’t dare look up. She didn’t want him to see the expression on her face.
His technique—bold, yet delicate—made her let out a soft moan without meaning to.
“Mmm~”
She quickly covered her mouth, nearly in tears.
How embarrassing.
“Don’t worry, Lady Adelina. No one noticed us.”
“Don’t say things like that…”
Adelina bit her lip. It really felt like they were doing something naughty in a classroom.
The thrill of breaking the rules made the noble lady’s breath quicken, her warm exhale brushing against the back of Felyn’s neck.
“Well then, Lady Adelina, does it feel a bit better now?”
When that comforting hand left her wrist, a part of Adelina still wished he wouldn’t stop, but she couldn’t say it out loud.
“Mm. Thank you, Felyn.”
Her eyes flickered away, not daring to meet Felyn’s gaze filled with affection.
As the surge of hormones faded from her body, Adelina felt a bit parched.
Before she could even speak, Felyn had already stood up and placed a freshly brewed cup of tea beside her.
Sipping the soothing warmth, she stared into the reflection of herself in the tea. Adelina thought to herself—Felyn could now stand beside her openly, no longer that shy boy hidden away in a small villa.
Setting down her cup, Adelina’s eyes suddenly gleamed with energy.
It was 8 PM now.
Their contract ended at 10 PM.
She wanted to finish all the paperwork quickly—even if it was just for half an hour—so she and Felyn could walk around the school together…
Felyn looked at Adelina, who seemed as if she’d just been possessed by a god.
Her hand moved so fast across the page it was like it left afterimages!
Did someone drug the tea or something?!
Felyn sat in his chair, watching Adelina while reviewing his own studies.
He really liked days like this now. He didn’t need to flatter Adelina all the time anymore, and there was no more guilt.
And double pay, too.
“All done!”
Adelina whispered in delight, rubbing her shoulders—only to have a pair of gentle hands help ease the tension.
The other members had already gone home. Linda had stepped out to the restroom. Only Adelina and Felyn remained in the office.
After all this time, they finally had some time alone.
Then…
“Felyn…”
Adelina’s face was burning red, the kind that made people want to reach out and touch.
“What is it, Lady Adelina?”
“Do you want to try doing it… in the classroom…”
Don’t pause in weird places like that! Felyn was mentally screaming.
“Do you want to try doing a confession in the classroom?”
Adelina took a deep breath and whispered those words quietly.
Felyn smiled softly, squatting down beside her.
The black stockings beneath her skirt were just centimeters from his face—he could even catch the faint scent of her.
“As long as it’s a request from Lady Adelina, I’ll do it anywhere.”
Adelina clutched at her skirt tightly, squeezing her eyes shut.
She didn’t even hear half the words coming from Felyn.
Confession, regret—it didn’t really matter anymore to Adelina.
Felyn had told her to stop caring about winning or losing. At this point, even his daily confessions weren’t that necessary anymore.
Then why did she still want to hear them?
Adelina hadn’t even realized—her focus wasn’t on whether Felyn regretted choosing Viloti anymore.
Every time he said the words “I love you so much,” her heart would skip a beat, savoring the warmth of those words sinking into her soul.
9:15 PM.
Felyn’s confession ended. Adelina let out a breath of relief, the tips of her ears still burning.
The classroom was filled with sweet air, making Adelina feel a touch of heat rise in her body.
She gently tugged at her collar and fanned her face.
There were still forty-five minutes left in the contract. Perfect—there was still time.
“Felyn, let’s go for a walk. It’s kind of hot in here.”
Now?
Felyn glanced out the window. Aside from the lights by the lakeside, most of the campus was dark, with only a few feeble streetlights fighting off the shadows.
But that lake… was practically a lovers’ hotspot—not any less suspicious than the woods. Going there with Adelina would be awkward.
Adelina noticed Felyn looking at something. She leaned in beside him and followed his gaze to the lake.
Does he want to go there with me?
“Let’s go to the lake, shall we? It looks really pretty.”
“Sure! As long as I’m with Lady Adelina, I’ll be happy no matter where we go.”
The office lights went out.
Some time later, a girl with golden hair trembled as she pushed the door open.
“Why is no one turning on the lights? It’s so dark—it scares me to death.”
Linda fumbled to turn on the lights, only to find an empty classroom.
Where did everyone go?
