Viloti clutched the seventh-tier sigil tightly in her hand. A sigil powerful enough to blow up the entire café, she holds it tightly as if it were a straw for a drowning person.
This sigil had been given to her by her father for emergencies, and even within the Silafiel family, there were only a few of them, these sigil were extremely rare and difficult to obtain.
She had only ever used it once. The day she saw Felyn and Adelina together in the dungeon.
That time, Viloti’s father had harshly scolded her and grounded her for three days.
Viloti had already reflected deeply on her actions. She swore she would never act so recklessly again.
But now it seemed... her self-reflection hadn’t been thorough enough.
Felyn. A girl. Looking for him.
Viloti didn’t mind Felyn chatting and laughing with other girls.
What terrified her was the thought of Felyn never speaking to her again.
If some terrible girl managed to lure him away, she might never see Felyn again for the rest of her life.
And if she encountered a girl who wanted to lock Felyn up forever just like she wants then that would be a disaster.
If anyone was going to lock Felyn away, it could only be her. No one else was allowed.
Viloti’s gaze darted back and forth between the staircase and the clock on the wall.
It had been four minutes and twenty-five seconds, and Felyn still hadn't come back.
Maybe he was just chatting.
Or maybe... he had already been lured away to that girl’s house.
"I need to save Felyn."
Viloti stood up from her seat, slipped the seventh-tier sigil into her pocket, and leaned over the staircase, looking down.
Felyn and the girl were still downstairs.
Hearing Felyn’s voice eased her heart somewhat.
But the girl still made her feel an intense sense of danger.
The girl had short black and red hair with highlights, adding a dash of boldness to her cute, innocent face.
She had a great figure, and the top button of her shirt wasn’t even fastened, that's why every time she leaned forward slightly, everything was on display.
She tied her school uniform jacket casually around her waist, looking somewhat rebellious. But with the shimmering lip gloss under the lights, she still looked like a charming young lady.
Viloti had to admit in her heart: this was a dangerously attractive girl who could easily seduce Felyn.
After exchanging a few words, Felyn and the girl actually left the café together.
Where were they going?
Viloti held her breath and clutched the railing tightly. After waiting for a moment, she quickly ran downstairs.
"Eh, miss, is there something wrong?" The café staff tried to stop her when they saw her about to bolt outside. She hadn't even paid yet.
"Where did those two just go?"
The waitress heard Viloti’s question and showed a knowing smile.
"Hehe, trust me, it's better if you don't know."
Viloti’s expression turned cold.
What kind of face was that? So annoying. She almost wanted to blow up the whole café right now.
The sky grew darker, but Holmholt's commercial district only grew brighter.
Walking side by side, Felyn and the self-proclaimed Bernice attracted many stares.
"Young sir, would you like your beautiful girlfriend to try our latest Seraphina necklace? It would suit her temperament so perfectly..."
The same shop assistant who had just tried to sell a necklace to Felyn and Viloti earlier fell silent.
She recognized the handsome young man.
But only an hour had passed, why was there a different beautiful girl next to him?
You change girlfriends faster than we update our products.
"The staff thought we were lovers," Bernice said, covering her mouth with her hand and laughing softly with crescent-shaped eyes.
"In other people's eyes, we really look so good together," she added, putting her hand over her heart and leaning forward slightly to meet Felyn’s gaze from below.
Those misty eyes held the stirring emotions of a young girl.
She leaned even closer, the scent of her perfume — specially applied behind her ears — radiating hormones.
Bernice calculated that Felyn should pretty much be falling for her by now.
She had made up a story about being a new transfer student, part of the study group, and wanting to pick a gift for Senior Viloti, thus asking Felyn to accompany her.
This boy hadn't suspected anything and had agreed readily.
Bernice hadn’t had much experience getting close to boys before. Before coming to Seiwa, she had crammed a lot of last-minute training. Still, she thought it wasn’t all that difficult.
In less than a week, she would have Felyn willingly falling into her arms.
Conquering Felyn? Easy.
Felyn gave a slightly shy smile, playing the role of an innocent, inexperienced boy.
From the very first moment he saw Bernice, he realized she was acting.
Even her chest was padded.
He didn’t expose her because, on one hand, he did want to pick a gift for Viloti, she was tutoring him after all, and he didn’t want to owe her a favor. Bernice could offer opinions on that, for him picking gifts was troublesome, after all.
On the other hand, he wanted to take this chance to spar a little to experience what it felt like to be on the receiving end of service. Understanding the user's perspective would help him better capture core needs and improve his own service quality.
Always learning, always reviewing — if he wasn't the one earning this money, who else could?
As for why Bernice was acting in front of him, Felyn wasn’t quite sure yet.
"Lovers, huh? If we became lovers, Bernice, what would you want to do?"
Felyn’s side profile was exceptionally handsome.
Under the combined light of the moon and the lamps, his sharp jawline looked even clearer in Bernice’s eyes.
"Eh?"
Bernice hadn’t expected that question. The books hadn’t taught her how to deal with this!
"I guess... just staying at home together doing nothing? Even though I seem outgoing, I actually like being home alone."
Wait... no good!
Bernice suddenly felt alarmed.
This pure-looking boy’s question had made her subconsciously accept the premise that they were already lovers.
And she had genuinely started imagining what life would be like with him afterward.
Was he a master strategist?
Bernice struggled to reconcile the idea of a master with the innocent boy in front of her.
As the two continued their conversation, they unconsciously arrived at a toy shop.
During their earlier talk, they had agreed that giving Viloti a plush toy would make a good gift.
The nearby staff, thinking it was a surprise for Viloti, hadn’t said anything to her, almost unintentionally igniting Viloti’s rage.
Felyn casually played with the plush toys on the shelves.
To be honest, he had no idea what kind of plushies girls liked.
Some plushies he thought were hideous were inexplicably beloved, like the pink fluffy pig he once gave Adelina.
And plushies he found adorable were often dismissed by girls as "meh."
Luckily, he had Bernice by his side now. She could help him.
"Bernice, what do you think of this one?"
Felyn held up two yellow slime plushies next to his face.
When Bernice turned and saw him like that, her heart skipped a beat. She clutched a nearby plushie tightly.
So cute...
Neither of them noticed the pair of amber-colored eyes watching them intently from outside the glass door.
"I’m going to blow all of you up..."
The pink-haired girl muttered under her breath.
