Chapter 4

It was the peak of rush hour, with many cars on the road.

Shen Xiaoyu manipulated the steering wheel, skillfully dodging left and right, concerned about potential problems, keeping the car with the obsessive fans at a distance behind them.

"Call Qin Miao," she said calmly.

The car's Bluetooth connected to her phone made a chiming sound as it dialed Qin Miao's number.

The moment the call connected, Shen Xiaoyu spoke, "Su Huan is in my car. We encountered obsessive fans in the underground garage, and they've also blocked the elevator entrance. We're currently 5.3 kilometers away from the Anguo Road Police Station."

Qin Miao on the other end immediately understood what was happening and promptly replied, "Alright, I'll be there right away."

After hanging up, Shen Xiaoyu glanced at Su Huan in the backseat through the mirror.

With her hat and mask on, her expression wasn't clear, but the aura she emitted somehow made people feel at ease.

She shifted her gaze, catching a glimpse of Shi Qiubai in the passenger seat looking at her with admiration.

"Sister, you're so amazing! The way you handled everything was incredible." Shi Qiubai mimicked her steering wheel movements with vigorous hand gestures. "I wish I could drive as skillfully as you someday!"

Shen Xiaoyu smiled, "Practice makes perfect, with courage and attentiveness. However, when driving on the road, you should still be steady and careful—safety first."

Shi Qiubai nodded obediently, "I understand! I'll learn from you, Sister! Someday, my driving skills will be just as good."

As soon as she finished speaking, Su Huan in the backseat let out a cold snort, "Her driving skills are good because when I first debuted, I was in a car accident due to being tailed by obsessive fans."

"Shen Xiaoyu was worried about me, so she specifically got a racing license. Whenever she had time, she would drive me everywhere."

Shen Xiaoyu's expression remained calm, as if she were listening to someone else's story.

But only she knew the turmoil inside her heart.

The day Su Huan had the accident, she was in a meeting. After receiving the call, she rushed to the hospital.

Only then did she learn that Su Huan wasn't the only one in the car—Tang Tang was there too.

Su Huan could have avoided injury, but she hurt her lower back protecting Tang Tang. Even now, she still had a faint scar the size of a fingernail.

She had gritted her teeth and used all her points to exchange for racing skills, which was why her driving was so good now.

She once thought the points were as plentiful as the hairs on an ox, not realizing that one day they would almost run out.

Shen Xiaoyu sighed inwardly.

Sitting in the back, Su Huan glanced at her imperceptibly, casually looking at the car's interior decoration. Her rigid tone softened, "Come to think of it, the interior of this car was modified according to my preferences. I'm quite picky and have high standards for these things. Shen Xiaoyu put in a lot of effort to satisfy me. I suppose you'll find it convenient to use as well."

Su Huan seemed to be talking about the car, but she was actually talking about Shen Xiaoyu.

Over the past ten years, Shen Xiaoyu had gradually sculpted herself into someone Su Huan found pleasing to look at.

This subtle showing-off made Shi Qiubai glance at Su Huan, the smile on her face gradually disappearing. Her gaze occasionally flickered toward Shen Xiaoyu, her thoughts unknown.

Having achieved her purpose, Su Huan curved her eyes, looking out the window in quite a good mood.

No one spoke after that.

Fifteen minutes later, the car stopped in front of the police station.

The cars behind them, seeing the location, turned to flee but were intercepted by police officers waiting in ambush.

Five or six teenagers, around sixteen or seventeen, got out of the car, their necks stiff as they questioned the police.

"What crime did we commit? What right do you have to stop us?"

"Exactly, we were just driving normally on the road, who did we disturb?"

"Su Huan! Huan Huan! We're all your fans! Can you give us an autograph?"

One of the girls' eyes lit up as she took out a photo from her bag and tried to run up for an autograph, but she was stopped.

Qin Miao stood behind them with a cold expression, walking step by step to stand in front of her. She snatched the photo, turned, and handed it to Su Huan.

"Young lady, being a fan is fine, but you can't disregard your own safety. Huan Huan doesn't like troublemaking fans, not to mention you had people illegally break into the company—we've already arrested them."

Being naturally tall and with her already serious face now unsmiling, her imposing aura was piercing, scaring the group so much that they shrank their necks.

Someone tugged at the girl at the front, signaling her to say something.

Being in their teens, it was a time of hot-bloodedness. Thinking about how her timidity due to being scared earlier had been seen by these people, she became angry.

"Isn't the company open for people to enter? Besides, we didn't do anything, even if you arrest us, you can't do anything to us. Moreover, we're still minors!"

The young girl said smugly, "What's there to fear? We're minors. Even if we go to the police station, it's just a warning and education."

Qin Miao smiled.

Having been a top manager for so many years, what kind of people hadn't she seen? These were just a few underage girls and boys—there were plenty of ways to handle them.

"You might be right about yourselves, but not necessarily about the driver."

"According to our country's laws, racing on the road, if it hasn't constituted a crime yet, the traffic police department can issue fines, administrative detention, and suspend the driver's license; if it constitutes the crime of dangerous driving, there's also a fine and up to six months of detention."

Qin Miao's gaze swept over each of them, finally landing on a young man who looked quite young.

"You look no more than 20, probably still in college? If you're detained, it will leave a criminal record. Do you think your school will keep you? After graduation, are you sure any company would want someone with a criminal record?"

The young man's face turned increasingly pale, his hands tightly clenched, not daring to speak.

Shen Xiaoyu had just finished giving her statement and came out to see a girl pointing at her, her small face distorted with anger, "What about her? Wasn't she speeding on the road too?"

"Besides, if she hadn't been running in front of us, how could we have been chasing her? It's her fault!"

The girl looked at her with venomous eyes, "She took Su Huan away, that's why we chased them all the way. If anyone's to blame, it should be her!"

Shen Xiaoyu was bewildered, then laughed, "Young lady, you can eat the wrong food, but you can't say the wrong things. I'm a law-abiding citizen."

Even the police officer beside Shen Xiaoyu looked at the girl disapprovingly, "Only you were speeding and racing. Don't implicate others!"

"That's impossible! We were just chasing her to get here, how could she not have been speeding? I don't accept this!" The girl shouted, and the others joined in.

"Do you know who she is? She's just a bitch!" The girl glared at Shen Xiaoyu with gritted teeth. "You just monopolize Huan Huan, using her to make money. You've never considered what's best for Huan Huan!"

"You don't deserve to be Su Huan's manager! Leave Su Huan and get out of the company!"

She pulled out an egg from somewhere, shouting "bitch," and threw it at Shen Xiaoyu.

The sudden action caught everyone off guard. Just as the egg was about to hit Shen Xiaoyu, Su Huan stepped forward quickly to shield her.

With a bang, the egg smashed against Su Huan's chest, the egg yolk dripping down.

"Su Huan!" The fans immediately became anxious.

The obsessive fan who threw the egg widened her eyes, her face full of regret.

Qin Miao's expression was grave as she hurriedly used tissues to wipe the egg yolk off Su Huan.

Su Huan turned her head to avoid it, looking at them coldly, her expression becoming increasingly cold and rigid.

Shen Xiaoyu didn't even look at her.

Su Huan looked at her in disbelief, seemingly wanting to say something, but suddenly, Shen Xiaoyu's voice came from behind.

Shen Xiaoyu pointed at the elegant and cold Qin Miao beside her, smiling as she said:

"See this? This is Su Huan's new manager. I don't know if you've heard her name, but you definitely know the artists under her."

She paused, building up suspense for everyone, then said with a dramatic breath: "Tang Tang!"

Hearing this name, the young men and women became restless, whispering among themselves.

"Wait, did she just say that Tang Tang's manager is also Huan Huan's manager? Does this mean 'Huan-Tang' is real?"

"Impossible! Huan Huan would never like that woman!"

The girl at the front shouted, glaring at them in frustration, "Didn't you say you were Huan Huan's solo fans? Why do you care about that woman!"

The people behind smiled sheepishly, "We're just curious, right? If Huan Huan and Tang Tang are really a couple, we'd have a sister-in-law!"

What explosive news! If they told the others in their group, it would surely cause a sensation!

Shen Xiaoyu said nothing, the expression on her face suddenly disappearing as her face turned cold. She looked at them with reproach and anger in her eyes, making people shiver.

"We will contact your parents and inform them of what happened. Whether you'll be held responsible is not for you to decide—it's for the law to determine."

Seeing the girl about to speak again, Shen Xiaoyu quickly interjected, "The law is not your shield. No matter who you are or how old you are, if you do something wrong, you should be punished! Also, let me tell you, those few kids you sent into the company have been detained for intentionally stealing confidential company files. What happens to them depends on what our company decides to do. Furthermore, let me introduce you to someone else—"

She pulled Shi Qiubai out from the corner, her face again wearing a smile, "My new artist, Shi Qiubai. I hope everyone will support her!"

After saying this, she took Shi Qiubai's hand and deeply bowed to the paparazzi waiting outside the police station.

Shen Xiaoyu pressed her lips together, the corners of her mouth curving up slightly, and patted Shi Qiubai's head, "Tonight, you'll get your first trending topic!"

Shi Qiubai looked at her in confusion, not understanding.

But seeing Shen Xiaoyu in a good mood, she also became happy.

"I don't care about trending topics. As long as I can act well, I'm satisfied."

"I didn't realize you're such a workaholic," she teased.

Shi Qiubai smiled shyly, "Becoming an actress has been my dream since childhood. If I could win a Best Actress Award like Senior Su Huan, I'd die happy."

Hearing the name, Shen Xiaoyu suddenly remembered Su Huan standing nearby. She turned to look and met Su Huan's gaze.

At some point, she had removed her mask, revealing a beautiful face with a certain aggressiveness. However, at this moment, her face was expressionless, staring at them gloomily. Her deep black eyes emitted a devouring coldness that made people shiver.

A few words flashed through Shen Xiaoyu's mind:

She is angry.

Almost instinctively, Shen Xiaoyu wanted to comfort her.

But just as she was about to move, she suddenly remembered that Su Huan was now Qin Miao's artist. Even if she was angry, it had nothing to do with her.

Shen Xiaoyu clenched her fist, forcibly suppressing her impulse, admonishing herself internally.

Shen Xiaoyu, all habits concerning Su Huan should be given up from now on.
