My Favorite Has Started A Live Broadcast! - Chapter 97

Lee Min-young POV

“Wake up… Get up! It’s morning!”

A small voice woke me from a deep sleep.

Maybe because I stayed up late watching my sister’s stream last night, it was hard to open my eyes.

Still lying down, I pulled the blanket over my head, intending to go back to sleep.

“Ugh… Just one more hour…”

“If you sleep for an hour, you’ll miss the first period.”

The clear voice pierced my ears directly, making me reluctantly open my eyes.

Through my blurry vision, I saw the person I was most familiar with and liked the most.

“Uh… Oppa… No, it’s unnie…”

“Wake up quickly. Breakfast is almost ready, so get up and come out.”

With her neatly tied hair, apron, sharp gaze, and soothing voice, my sister looked the same as always.

She pulled away my blanket and opened the curtains.

“Aghhh…”

Without hesitation, she let sunlight flood into my room and dragged me to the bathroom to wash my face.

Of course, I could handle it myself, but if I sat on the bed pretending to be asleep with my eyes closed, she’d often help like this.

After a splash of cold water on my face, there was no more pretending to be asleep.

I got washed up and dried my hair while she finished preparing breakfast.

“Have a good day!”

She waved at me as I left through the door for school, and I waved back at her.

Thanks to the bus schedule, I arrived at the classroom early, finding it completely empty.

Following the timetable written at the front of the room, I brought out the necessary books and started studying the unfinished work from yesterday, which I had neglected while watching my sister’s stream.

I spent several minutes organizing my notes and passed the time until most of my classmates arrived, including Si-ha.

“…So jealous…”

There were indirect mentions of Si-ha during yesterday’s stream, particularly when talking about some photos.

Although no names were mentioned, phrases like “a guy who used to work at the café with me” or “my sister’s friend” made it clear in my mind that Si-ha had once shared the same space as my sister.

“…Oh, hi?”

When Si-ha noticed me staring at him, he waved.

Kang Han-seo POV

“Haah, damn it…”

“Why, did your brother scold you again?”

While everyone was supposed to be in class, a few students lingered behind the school, exhaling cigarette smoke as they chatted.

“No, he didn’t scold me, but he’s terrifying as hell. Even though I did everything he told me to, I can’t tell if he spared me because I got it wrong or if he just didn’t care enough to yell. Honestly, it’s less scary when he just loses it. When he sits there looking at his phone and smirking, it’s insanely creepy!”

Kang Han’s younger sister, Kang Han-seo, shouted in an exasperated tone.

“So, that second-year kid, you’re still going after her?”

“Yeah, I’ve hated her from the start.

Her smug attitude just because she’s pretty—ugh, it pisses me off.”

“Sure, sure~ You’re just mad because our super popular Han-seo got outdone in looks.”

“You little…!”

Han-seo glared at her friend, who chuckled and offered a half-hearted apology.

She couldn’t exactly deny her friend’s words.

“…Damn it…”

It was true.

Born into privilege, she had grown up eating the best food and living well, so she was undeniably beautiful.

Objectively, she was the prettiest in the school.

Thanks to that, she had always carried herself confidently, acting well-mannered in front of teachers and slightly playful in front of her peers.

At school, almost everyone—aside from her current little clique—thought of her as the perfect, smart, kind, and beautiful girl.

She’d received countless confessions and enjoyed all the attention.

But things had changed when she entered her second year and the first-years came in.

A certain Lee Min-young had disrupted everything.

With her plain, makeup-free face, taller stature, sharp, cat-like eyes, and overall aura,

Min-young was more beautiful and even smarter than Han-seo.

Han-seo found her unbearably irritating.

“What should I do to crush her?”

“But isn’t she the one whose sister runs that stream?”

“So what? Her sister’s had her share of controversies.”

“Yeah, but that wasn’t your doing. And anyway, it looks like most of that’s blown over. Even the cyber leeches have backed off. The stream’s still going strong, though—tons of viewers. If you mess with her sister’s sibling, won’t that ruin your life? And what about your image? Are you really going to trash all the work you’ve put into building your reputation?”

“People are dumb. I’ve still got plenty of fans who’ll think I had a good reason for doing whatever I do. Besides, Min-young’s only asset is her face, and she’s not even that popular. Her rude attitude is already well-known, isn’t it?”

“So, what are you going to do first?”

“Visit her class tomorrow.”

“Not today?”

“I don’t want to walk into the classroom reeking of smoke and give myself away.”

Han-seo took another drag from her cigarette, releasing a puff of smoke.

Lee Su-yeon POV

“Where did you go yesterday? To a café?”

After Min-young left for school, I sat down with Eun-ah unnie, sipping coffee and chatting.

I asked her about where she had been the day before.

“Uh… well, something like that…”

She replied vaguely, sipping her coffee.

She avoided eye contact, and her coffee disappeared faster than usual, making her behavior seem unnatural.

“Where did you go?”

“…”

“Hmmm?”

Eun- ah unnie tapped her empty cup with her fingers and stared at me.

“Alright, alright! Stop asking!”

“I asked once…”

“Um… well, actually… I went to a café yesterday. It was Lee Joo-unnie’s café… I mean, I went to see the owner of the café you used to go to.”

Eun-ah unnie spoke while her face turned slightly red.

“Why are you embarrassed? You just went to a café.”

“It’s not just that… to be honest, it was somewhat work-related. Do you remember when I said I wanted to be a barista before?”

“No way?”

“I’m trying… to start again. I really don’t need to do this, okay?! I have enough money! I could just roll my money and buy a café…! But I want to do this…”

Her face wasn’t just red; it turned as bright as mine in front of Chocoa. Normally calm and full of laziness, she was fidgeting with her hands while being slightly shy about what she wanted to do, and it somehow looked a bit cute.

“…What have you been talking about with Aro these days?”

“Suddenly? Just work stuff or sometimes we hang out? Drink a bit… nothing much, really.”

“What about other people?”

“Not really.”

“Hmm~”

On Monday morning, Baraa’s stream started at its usual time.

-Why not a dolphin today ㅇㅅㅇ

-Even just regular pants are fine.

“I only have one, so I did laundry. What should we do today~”

Humming in a rhythm that seemed more fitting for an old man, Baraa started looking for games to play. This was always how Baraa’s streams went. Without setting a specific theme, they’d start the stream and decide what to do with the viewers.

Today was no different. Baraa casually began browsing the chats from viewers to pick a game.

-Lesik?

-Horror game

-We’ve been playing mostly FPS lately; how about an RPG?

“RPGs… we’ve got Nikita for that. Horror games… hmm… yeah, I’ll have to do one soon, maybe over the weekend.”

-An Ideal Type World Cup

“…What is that…?”

The chat that caught Baraa’s interest was about the Ideal Type World Cup.

“Oh…”

Entering the Ideal Type World Cup site, dozens of categories appeared, from anime characters to idols, actors, and foods like ramen.

“What do I do here?”

-Just go into whatever you want and play.

-What’s trending lately?

-How about the streamer rankings?

“Streamers… I don’t watch a lot of streams, so I don’t know others well. And anyway, the first place is already…”

-LOL the fact that it’s so obvious is hilarious

CoffeeIsBeer: I’ve got something fun; wanna try it?

“What is it?”

CoffeeIsBeer: The Baraa Ideal Type World Cup

From the name alone, I couldn’t even imagine what it was, but I regretted it the moment I searched for it.

“…Who made this…?”

CoffeeIsBeer: Not me, anyway.

The World Cup’s cover was filled with my photos. Feeling a bit of resistance, I clicked the mouse, and I immediately regretted it.

“Ugh… I don’t want to do this.”

As I tried to leave the Ideal Type World Cup, the chat erupted, and a donation popped up.

ㄱ님 donated 1,000,000 KRW!

-Do it

“…”

I sighed and began the World Cup.

Baraa, shocked by the 128 entries of their own clips, shortened it to a 16-entry round, eliciting complaints from viewers.

-But why are there so many? I thought maybe 64, but 128?

“Right…”

Baraa turned off the cam and spun the mouse in circles. The 32-round match began with clips of themselves. On the left was Baraa sneezing; on the right was Baraa in cat pajamas holding a strawberry.

-Obvious left nn nn nn nn

-Stfu obvious right

“…Should I just stop using the cam altogether…?”

Muttering to herself, Baraa quickly decided on a winner while viewers fiercely debated.

To be honest, it was a bit embarrassing. The fact that viewers collected and compiled so many clips of my stream into something others could see felt slightly mortifying. If it were just ordinary photos, I wouldn’t care and could pick without hesitation, but among the 32 entries were pictures of me blushing, photos from the Glare event, and clips of me humming to random songs. There were so many moments where I was caught completely off guard.

The Baraa Ideal Type World Cup didn’t even take 30 minutes. The streamer barely spoke, and viewers did most of the chatting.

After finishing the World Cup, the stream returned to a regular Lesik broadcast.

Eun-ah and Aro exchanged a light high-five over their new NewTube clip idea.
